About Sharon Crockett
Sharon illustrates in a realistic style in color and black & white using primarily pencils, watercolor, acrylic paint and some digital media. She likes to delve into concepts, conveying them for clients in visually expressive ways.
Sharon started out drawing and painting as a creative outlet while a student in high school, college and graduate school and later on, while pursuing a successful career in finance. During these years, she studied figure drawing, acrylic painting and batik at Parsons The New School for Design in NYC.
By 2008, while studying interior design at Parsons, she was back to full-time formal instruction in freehand drawing, rendering and perspective drawing in watercolor, pencil and marker. Later she studied watercolor pencil at the Rockland Center for the Arts in West Nyack, NY, graphite drawing at Pencilworks in Little Falls, NJ and most recently watercolor under the tutelage of Quebec-based watercolorist, Jane Wright, and under Charles Brandenburg and Peggy Dressel at the Ridgewood Art Institute.
